The Volunteer’s Role

Are you passionate about developing and implementing business strategies and proposal writing to support Small and Medium-sized businesses?

If so, this might be the role for you!

As a Project Development Advisor, you will bring your expertise to support and strengthen the capacities of our partner ACOPI (Asociación Colombiana de Pequeñas y Medianas Empresas) and its affiliates in Bolivia.

As a volunteer, you will:

  • Monitor platforms for calls for cooperation projects and national calls for contracts.
  • Coordinate with ACOPI's work team for the necessary collection of input information to develop the projects and to follow up on the proposals that have already been submitted.
  • Update and follow up on ACOPI's project bank, proposing different methodologies applicable to national and international calls for proposals.
  • Lead the presentation of projects in national and international calls for proposals, and monitor the results of the calls for proposals to which the company has applied.
  • Lead implementation processes of proposals that receive successful results and funds, strengthening a MEAL system in the implementation phase


Essential Requirements:

  • Studies in political science, economics, administration, sociology or others related to these careers.


Essential Background:

  • 3+ years experience in project management.
  • Knowledge or experience working with the private and public sectors in development partnerships.
  • Knowledge of the economic and development dynamics of the territory.
  • Experience in project formulation.

ACOPI is a private non-profit association that seeks to contribute to the productive transformation of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises. The Colombian Association of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (ACOPI) was founded nationwide on August 27, 1951, as a result of the merger of entities that exist at the time in the most important industrial cities of the country.
