The Position

In this role, you will directly contribute to the expansion of existing IoT products and development of our new IoT products and solutions. This position is responsible for designing user interfaces, user workflow, wireframe, user interface design patterns for enterprise amp; mobile applications based on product requirements, input from field operations amp; customers and adhering to client's usability and branding standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and Manage a User Experience methodology across the client's portfolio.
  • Define the standards of interaction and evolve them with emerging use cases.
  • Define our UI standards/patterns and help enforce them across a diverse development team.
  • Represent design ideas in storyboards, process flows, and system sitemaps.
  • Develop wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes for new ideas and offerings.
  • Be a strong partner between the Product and Technology amp; client's Business teams to learn from the market and implement industry changing approaches to IoT visualizations and tools.
  • Translate a data is king mentality into easy to understand analytics, visualizations, and data representations.
  • Develop user interface design patterns, and user workflows based on user centered design.
  • Define user interfaces for web-based amp; mobile applications based on product requirements, input from field operations amp; customers.
  • Develop, document, and maintain user-interface specifications in the form of user flows and wireframes.
  • Articulate product requirements through simple and elegant interaction design.
  • Conduct usability tests and work with product management and visual design team members to refine user experiences.
  • Be an advocate for our users and influence the product team and the overall organization to achieve solutions that are right for users.
  • Create visual assets from the design for the developers to use.
  • Research interaction design and technology trends.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years professional experience in designing for enterprise web applications
  • 2 of years’ experience using Axure and/or other UI prototyping tools such as Sketch, Zeplin, etc
  • 2+ years of experience working with Figma.
  • 2 of years’ experience with content management systems and user configuration applications platforms preferred
  • Experience designing SaaS solutions that include hardware components/sensors for the B2B market.
  • Experience designing responsive designs across a multitude of device types.
  • Strong experience working in an agile development environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid interpersonal, presentation, and collaborative skills and commitment to develop further.
  • Natural curiosity and tendency to question the status quo.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience conducting usability testing and other research methods to validate the designs.
  • Significant experience working with responsive design amp; accessibility requirements.
  • Previous work experience or internships as an Information Architect, User Experience Designer/Architect, Business Analyst, or Interaction Designer.
  • Knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies; we have heavily invested in Agile.
  • Experience working with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop.
