JOB SUMMARYThe After School Program Director will lead an afterschool program in a K-8 school setting at our HTH North County campus. Responsibilities include developing an afterschool curriculum, leading 20+ staff members and 300+ students, managing a budget, hiring, scheduling, and communicating with families and school faculty. The ideal candidate is skilled at multi-tasking, effective communication, conflict resolution, taking initiative, ensuring safety, and developing rapport with students (ages 5-14) as well as adult colleagues. Fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred but not required.The ideal candidate would possess the following competencies: Comfortable leading enrichment activities with Elementary school-age students Inform and communicate effectively Ability to work with diverse populations Ability to lead staff
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree preferred Minimum of two years of experience working with youth programs in a supervisory role Experience in a school/learning environment preferredSALARY amp; BENEFITSSalary is commensurate with experience.
