Job Description
CORE is seeking a Community Engagement Coordinator to join the Medi-Cal Health Vaccine Equity Program in Los Angeles. This role will coordinate with program management, sub-grantee(s), and local community-based organizations to promote engagement and vaccine equity within African American and Native American communities.
We require all employees to comply with our Mandatory Vaccination Policy. As a condition of employment individuals will be asked to provide proof of compliance.Requirements:- Strong understanding of needs and opportunities within African American and Native American communities
- Demonstrated commitment to social justice and health equity
- Critical thinking and sound judgement required
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Adaptable and able to react quickly to changing circumstances
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (esp. Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Ability to travel throughout Los Angeles County independently
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact professionally with people from diverse backgrounds required
- Familiarity in and experience working with social services, health care, or community activism preferred
- Bachelors or advanced degree in public health, a plus!
