OverviewThe CDC Foundation is working with CDC and state and local authorities to provide surge staffing that are crucial to the nation’s COVID-19 response. The CDC Foundation seeks a candidate for Tribal Nation Emergency Preparedness Planner position to support the COVID-19 response. The position is remote.

Salary: $76,650.00per year plus benefitsContract target end date: 6/30/2022 Responsibilities
  • Support emergency management planning in Tribal communities
  • Design and conduct surveys, collect qualitative and quantitative assessment data, develop emergency operations and/or contingency plans, documents, manuals, policies, procedures, develop and conduct trainings and exercises
  • Provide presentations and trainings
  • Develop educational materials for stakeholders
  • Participate in and/or coordinate project teams
Qualifications
  • Masters degree preferred, such as Master in Public Health, MS in Emergency Management, etc
  • Experience leading exercises/tabletop/wargaming efforts is preferred, including mass casualty and evacuation scenarios.
  • Experience working with Tribal communities or other communities of color
  • Special Requirement: Work hours may include evenings and weekends
  • Experience working with tribal organizations and/or communities
  • Cultural competence in working with tribal organizations and/or tribal members
