The CDC Foundation is seeking a Data Management Team Lead who will be in charge of overseeing the whole data collection process. The role is to ensure that the Data Management team is working accurately by providing coaching, training, and technical knowledge.
This position is currently a remote position. CDC Foundation retains the right to make adjustments to this as required.Job Highlights

  • Salary: Between $85,000 and $91,999 plus benefits

Qualifications:
  • Problem-solving skills including:
  • Can understand the operational goals of the CA Connected program and how data management should support those goals
  • Ability to distill ambiguous or contradictory requests for support into actionable problems
  • Understanding of root causes of data problems (e.g., how issues with the method of data entry could generate downstream quality problems)
  • Leadership and supervisory skills including:
  • Experience supervising analytical staff
  • Confidence coaching staff to increase technical skills
  • Ability to translate leadership requests into technical specifications or in-the-weeds solutions; ability to communicate to leaders the programmatic impact of data problems
  • Technical skills including:
  • Experience in reviewing and analyzing data
  • Development or management of relational databases
  • Microsoft Dynamics experience or similar CRM software experience and ability to rapidly develop familiarity with MSD
  • Query development
  • Excel skills, including pivot table analysis

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Agile project management experience
  • SQL scripting
  • Data visualization

Responsibilities:
  • Lead Data Management Team
  • Directly supervise a team of 2-4 analysts
  • Coach team members to independently diagnose and solve problems and make proactive plans to increase these skills when they are insufficient
  • Maintain appropriate data governance of CA Connected program data in MSD
  • Develop deep familiarity with CA Connected’s data needs and MSD’s data structure
  • Identify areas where data integrity is insufficient; develop countermeasures to proactively address existing data problems including process-based solutions to support ongoing data quality (i.e., at data entry)
  • Respond to ad hoc requests for data analysis or data cleaning
  • Triage requests for support in light of evolving program needs
  • Work collaboratively to resolve ongoing analysis needs
  • As needed, provide direct support in developing reports, editing MSD records, and similar work
  • Manage MSD Product Backlog
  • Work with requestors to develop and refine backlog items
  • Identify when feature requests may impact other areas of CA Connected operations, work to resolve or mitigate these impacts, and triage requests accordingly
  • Develop sprint plans in consultation with Operations Manager
  • Supervise MSD developers’ progress during sprints and monitor quality of developers’ work
  • Maintain active, collaborative working relationships with workforce team leads, MSD developers, other contractors, and CA Connected program staff
