Job Description

As the Assistant Manager, Facilities, you will be responsible for delivering hands-on facilities support for our two company-owned office buildings located in West Hollywood, California. You will oversee and coordinate departmental budgeting administration, expense reconciliation, purchasing amp; mailroom operations, contract administration, and vendor administration. You will work with Match Group’s leadership team and Tinder’s local Workplace Experience team to incorporate best practices, instill a culture of continuous improvement, and to foster an inclusive workplace environment for all employees.

  • You will provide the oversight of the 24/7 day-to-day operations of two (2) commercial office buildings; you will be responsible for the oversight of all utility-support functions including, but not limited to, the following: janitorial services, carpentry, painting, electrical maintenance, landscaping (Living Wall), trash removal, pest control, lock service, mailroom operations and the uninterrupted operations of the buildings’ mechanical infrastructure systems. Additionally, you will manage all contracts for temporary and contracted service employees assigned to the properties.
  • You will complete daily building inspections and perform related tasks including, but not limited to, facilitating work order requests, identifying, and reporting maintenance problems or physical hazards.
  • You will work collaborative with Tinder’s Workplace Experience team to ensure all properties are properly maintained to ensure a safe, efficient, and comfortable working environment. You will provide Tinder’s Workplace Experience team with hands on assistance preparing for the set-up of special meetings and after-hour events.
  • You will establish positive, professional, and collaborative business relationships with all company departments, specifically Match Group’s Security and Technology teams.
  • You will work with Match Group’s leadership team concerning the recruitment and performance management of facility group employees. Currently this position has one (1) direct report.
  • You will be the primary point-of-contact for all third-party tenants occupying leased premises within our buildings.
  • You will oversee the annual departmental operating budget; you will be responsible for the reconciliation of invoices and the monitoring and controlling of expenses to ensure favorable budget variances.
  • You will assist with the development of the capital improvement programs for short-and long-term facility needs.
  • You will prepare technical specifications, negotiate, and oversee third-party service agreements; you will ensure all agreements adhere to established contractual terms and comply with all company insurance requirements.
  • You will manage all utility (water/sewer, electricity, and natural gas) services assigned to the properties.
  • You will work with the Match Group leadership team to develop and implement best-practices strategies focused on sustainability and Carbon Footprint Reduction.
  • You will act as the company’s chief liaison with key municipality, city, and other governing authority officials.
  • You will provide project management oversight to support facility-related initiatives such as: buildouts, decommissioning, coordinating moves, and the consolidation /re-stacking of facilities.
  • You will manage preventative maintenance programs to ensure full compliance and reporting as required by company insurance carriers, the city of West Hollywood, EPA, OSHA and all other regulatory agencies.
  • You will work with Match Group leadership to establish guidelines and monitor compliance regarding life-safety procedures, emergency preparedness programs, and business continuity planning.
  • You will ensure all equipment, work areas, parking garages and exterior premises are maintained in a safe, clean, and orderly condition with emphasis on safety and accident prevention.
  • You will be responsible for 24/7 response to all emergency situations impacting building operations.

  • You have completed an undergraduate degree and have 4 years of experience in commercial high-rise, campus environment, and/or property portfolio management (or 8 years of experience if you have not completed a degree)
  • You have excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills as well as strong project management capabilities.
  • You have demonstrated proficiency managing budgets and other financial tools.
  • You have extensive knowledge and expertise managing third-party service
