About the Role

You will be the founding member of our Internal Engineering team, where you’ll be building CaptivateIQ’s internal data warehouse and operations tools. The mission of the Internal Engineering team is to empower the business to make informed cross-functional decisions with data. As the founding engineer for the Internal Engineering team, you’ll be reporting to our CTO and significantly impact company direction with the systems and applications you will build.Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development from the ground up of our data warehouse that powers internal analytics for CaptivateIQ’s product and business teams
  • Identify and understand the requirements for metrics and analysis that our product and business teams need
  • Build efficient and scalable data pipelines to enable data-driven decisions
  • Understand and refine our existing data sources and take the lead in collecting new data from product and GTM data sources
  • Develop strong subject matter expertise and manage SLAs for those data pipelines
  • Build relationships with product engineering to ensure scalability and management of our data structures as we grow
Requirements
  • A strong (5+ years of experience) background in engineering and an interest in data science
  • Proven experience working with data pipelines at scale and knowledge of standard data engineering technologies, such as Hadoop, Spark, or Snowflake
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Have hands-on experience with AWS
  • Collaborative, humble, a learner with a strong growth mindset

  • Hands-on experience with setting up modern data stacks (ETL, data warehouses, DBT, reverse ETL)
