About the Role
The Collaboration Workflows engineering team is looking for a backend-focused engineer to build and own the backend services supporting CaptivateIQ’s core collaboration workflows. This person will help build and scale core services and public APIs. This team is responsible for the features that make CaptivateIQ indispensable to our users' daily processes.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and architect scalable backend services
  • Partner with the product team to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Maintain high engineering and security standards, and continuously improve our codebases and processes
  • Partner with and mentor more junior members of the team
  • Work with engineers across the company to develop and iterate at scale
Requirements:
  • 6+ years experience in a software engineering role
  • Experience designing, developing and documenting RESTful APIs
  • Experience building highly scalable distributed systems with micro services
  • Experience with a relational database such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interest in taking responsibility and ownership over core product areas
  • Organized and a driven self-starter with a growth mindset
Bonus Points:
  • Experience with AWS and Cloud-native solutions
  • Experience with Python for backend and API development
  • Experience migrating platforms from a monolithic architecture to a service-oriented architecture
