We build payments infrastructure for vertically-focused software companies (think restaurant, yoga studio and winery software) and fintech providers so they can own and monetize payments without the heavy lift of building complex systems from scratch or relying entirely on disjointed third-party services. About the role:
As a Data Analyst in the Business Operations team, you will play an integral role in supporting and executing the vision of Finix’s internal data strategy. As an early member of the business operations team, you will be the liaison between the business operations teams and the Data Engineering team. As the data analyst, you will be an expert on our data infrastructure, own data dictionaries, and create one source of truth for internal reporting and analytics.You are critical in enabling cross-functional teams to optimize processes, spot hidden issues, and gain insight through the reports, data analytics, and dashboards you will manage and own. Our business operations teams will depend on you to find, organize and supply the right data analytics allowing them to grow Finix. Our engineering team will depend on you to advise them when building new ETL flows, data imports, and schemas for our needs.You Will:

- Identify data needs from internal stakeholders and drive alignment across the company on how we track and calculate key internal metrics
- Enable internal team to make data-driven decisions based on timely, consistent, complete, and correct data, reports, and analytics
- Work closely with engineering team members to build reporting and analytics infrastructure, solving Finix’s internal analytics needs
- Become a subject matter expert in all things data, ETL, operations intelligence, and financial insights
- Design, build and maintain all critical operations and finance reports and dashboards utilized by Finix
- Detail-oriented, with a healthy dose of curiosity that drives you to investigate even the slightest data discrepancy
- Interested to understand the underlying business needs and objectives underpinning each request, report, and analysis
- Collaborative, cross-functional, and communicative. You make data speak
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment around common goals and priorities but able to self-direct and problem solve with others to make progress
- 5+ years of experience in a Business Intelligence Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Analyst, and/or Data Science role
- Expert knowledge of SQL, proficient in Python, capable with BI tools (i.e. Looker, Sisense, Tableau)
- B.A in mathematics, economics, statistics, physics, or a related data field
- Prior experience with writing and debugging data pipelines in code (AWS Glue/Apache Airflow/Spark etc)
- EQ: Emotionally intelligent with the ability to build strong professional partnerships
