  • Leads the operation of a multi-shift, multi-department variable volume distribution operation’s team, including productivity, financial and service objectives that meet the demands of our customer.
  • Supervises professional employees, frontline supervisors and/or business support staff.
  • Initiate and develop short and long-term operational and strategic plans.
  • Coordination of production planning on weekly base with stakeholders.
  • Networks and consults with corporate / site resources and facilities staff to ensure low-cost efficiencies and high service levels are consistently maintained.
  • Develop strategic and tactical plans to operate within an approved cost structure.
  • Make decisions, often difficult and/or unpopular, that support the organization strategy; influences others to support the decisions.
  • Must be flexible with work schedule to be a visible leader and maximize employee interactions for a facility that has a multi shift distribution operation.
  • Provide leadership and builds an engaged Culture by modeling The Pharmapacks Values and operating principles, ensuring all employees are treated consistently, fairly, ethically and respectfully.
  • Leads the team in creating an atmosphere that enables the dialog and commitments that promote a continuous improvement mindset and has a favorable impact on the effectiveness and efficiency of the site.
  • Foster a sense of teamwork and collaboration with the operational stakeholders to maximize business results performance.
  • Exemplify strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Sets the short term and long term tactical and strategic vision at the site maximizing accuracy with a focus on high level customer service and operational excellence.
  • Reviews existing operations to determine what improvements can be made to areas. Lead and develop methods which allow for cost reduction, increased speed, and improved customer service.
  • Recommend and implement lean initiatives, policies, and strategies to increase production, eliminate waste and create efficient space utilization.
  • Develop policies and procedures to meet new or changing conditions. Interface with necessary stakeholders across the network to obtain alignment and implement corrective action measures.
  • Be a multi-functional resource for all aspects of the operation. Incorporate cross-training of staff to ensure flexibility of workforce. Designs and implements training programs and supporting materials for employee education and development.
  • Develop goals and objectives with leaders. Monitor and assess performance on a regular basis through regular check-in meetings.
  • Ensure employees consistently adhere to department and company policies and legal regulations.
  • Delegate work to employees, track progress and provide constructive feedback throughout
  • Optimize staffing levels in the areas of responsibilities to ensure performance standards are met or exceeded at an individual and department level, while maintaining quality standard.
  • Ensure consistency and timely completion of all administrative functions.
  • Monitors expenses against budgeted costs and provide explanations for variances for all.
