Job Description

We’ve been exclusively awarded a project to support the upcoming potential work stoppage on Oct 16 in the Northeast. Guarantees upon deployment. Lucrative compensation will include: High hourly rates, 1.5 for Overtime, Truck and Tools, Living Expenses, and Guarantees upon deployment.We are looking to hire a CPE / PBX / 911 Installation and Repair Technician with a basic understanding of supporting CPE / PBX’s and E911 equipment and circuits. Lucrative compensation will include: High hourly rates, 1.5 for Overtime, Truck and Tools, Living Expenses, and Guarantees upon deployment.As a CPE / PBX / 911 Installation and Repair Technician, you must be able to work on customer premise equipment including installation, troubleshooting, and repair of these systems. This role provides business services to small, medium, and large customers. If you think you are up for the role, send us an application!Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Follows established safety practices and procedures.
  • Install and rearrange inside wire
  • Install Network Interface Device (NID)
  • Place and replace Customer Premise Equipment (CPE).
  • Performs the maintenance of the CPE equipment, wiring amp; jacks inside the customer’s premise up to and including the NID.
  • OMS knowledge required, CSG preferred.
  • Verify all services are working
  • Educate customers on the features and functionality of the services
  • Must be able to perform basic splicing and basic cable maintenance. Working knowledge of cable and cable terminals.
  • Must be able to work when needed and in all types of weather.
  • Must interact with workforces to coordinate and disseminate information to complete job assignments and with other sections to attain Company service objectives.
  • Must maintain a professional image.
  • Must support and participate in the promotion of Company products.
  • Must be able to work at heights.
  • Must be physically able to perform duties of the job.
  • Must be able to work under pressure, handle stress and follow directions.
  • Attend and pass training schools as assigned by the Company
  • Must perform any other duties assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be physically fit to perform the job (must be able to lift 70 lbs.).
  • Must be able to work in various weather and terrain conditions without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to perceive differences in wire and cable colors.
  • Must have good oral and written communications skills.
  • Must have an understanding of basic electricity/electronics shown by passing a Company basic electricity test (passing grade of 70) or acceptable certificate from an outside agency.
  • Must be able to work shifts, days, nights, evenings (depending on tour selection) and work overtime and emergency call-outs.
  • Must be able to obtain a DOT license (if required) by the end of the qualifying period.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Fully trained to perform CPE / PBX / 911 Iamp;R functions.
  • Fully trained to perform cable and fiber splicing and trouble running functions.
  • Familiar with digital carriers and data communications.
  • A+ Certification; Network Plus Certification
  • Electronics training/Certifications
