The Mid Software Engineer is expected to write quality code, modify existing code to fix errors, and improve its performance. As well as being involved with the testing and validation procedures. You will work alongside the client and other departments on technical issues including software design and maintenance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces.
2. Performing formal code reviews with the goals to define coding standards and software architecture compliance, coding solutions verification. Using manual and automated code review tools.
3. Writing unit tests on small units of work. Covering application modules with unit tests according to defined code coverage level.
4. Consulting with departments or clients on project status and proposals.
5. Working with clients or departments on technical issues including software system design and maintenance.
6. Conferring with project managers to obtain information on limitations or capabilities.
7. Participating in effort estimations and mostly meeting them.
8. Following established workflows, taking all necessary inputs and producing required outputs
9. Directing software documentation development escalating unclear areas.
10. Mentoring/Coaching newcomers and/or junior team members in subject matter area and on technical questions
