Job Description

Couchbase is looking for a Communications Manager to help increase awareness of the company’s executives, products, key corporate messages and company culture in the market. In this role, you will be a key contributor to our public relations program including thought leadership, executive platforms, contributed content, announcements and agency management. You will also partner with the key executive stakeholders to execute our analyst relations program. We are looking for someone who is driven, creative, strategic, up to speed on the latest media trends, collaborative and is energized by achieving results. This role reports to the VP of Communications.
Location: Bay Area, CA candidates preferred however exceptional candidates outside this region will be considered.Our ideal candidate will have:
  • 5-10 years of B2B public relations and/or analyst relations experience.
  • A proven track record of achieving PR results and measuring impact. Passionate and thoughtful about strategic media relations, with a deep understanding of the media landscape and excellent media relationships.
  • An understanding of analyst relations programs, including inquiry and Tier 1 research report project management.
  • The ability to work across and unite marketing, sales, product management, engineering, and HR. Hands on experience working with executive spokespeople.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Strong understanding of how to efficiently and effectively land strategic messaging with influencers and measure success.
  • Agency experience is preferred.
