About the Role:
The Chief of Staff (CoS) is an individual contributor role with unparalleled access to the CEO, COO and Leadership team and insight into how the company operates. The role may be considered an intensive mentorship program for future technology leaders. The CoS will meet almost daily with the CEO and COO, and as required will travel with the CEO.
The Chief of Staff will drive initiatives and manage a constantly changing portfolio of projects that require attention to detail and flawless execution. The right candidate is comfortable wearing multiple hats in a fast paced and high pressure environment. This includes drafting presentations (as well as other materials) for board meetings, investor conferences and employee all hands.
Due to the important and privileged position of this role, the Chief of Staff must be able to establish and maintain a trust-based relationship with the CEO and COO, Executive Leadership, as well as key stakeholders, both internal and external. This is best served by focusing on the of staff portion of the role, as opposed to the Chief title, building and maintaining credibility as a trusted partner. They will possess strong leadership qualities, a high degree of initiative, and be detail-oriented, organized, and analytical.

Responsibilities:
  • Project Management ~
  • Research, develop, and deliver special projects and strategic business initiatives under the guidance of senior leadership
  • Prepare detailed agendas and briefing materials
  • Ensure all reading materials meet company wide standards for high impact meetings
  • Organize meetings around specific issues and record decisions and action items (such as the All Hands, Department Heads, and Monday Alignment meetings)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure tasks are assigned and actioned

  • Assist with Internal Communication ~
  • Prepare draft communications such as emails, messages, and posts on a variety of different subjects on behalf of, and for review by, the CEO or COO

  • Data Analysis ~
  • Research, retrieve, synthesize, model and analyze data to drive decision-making

  • Presentations ~
  • Prepare presentations and written memos for the CEO or COO on a wide range of topics ranging from company presentations to specific topical issues

  • Board Preparation ~
  • Manage the board calendar and prepare draft board materials including briefing memos and presentation decks

  • Executive Ninja ~
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned to support and enable the Executive Office
Skills Experience:
  • Experience ~
  • 2+ years in an investment banking or consulting role at a large investment bank or consulting firm

  • Expertise ~
  • Demonstrated ability to research topics and synthesis information
  • Demonstrated ability to produce clear presentations and written material to a high standard under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to manipulate and analyze large amounts of data

  • Outstanding communication skills in both written and verbal form

  • Proven experience managing multiple projects and priorities concurrently
