The purpose of the internship program is to provide the university student with an opportunity to develop professional skills, gain practical experience, and gain exposure to Control Risks’ business methodologies.

The successful candidate will work under the direction of Principal, Associate Director and Senior Consultants to support a range of different security consulting projects in which the team is assisting clients to achieve their business objectives in the face of operational difficulties. The position will also include supporting the team’s business development strategy.

Responsibilities

• Support different security and risk consulting projects to research and other activities.
• Support executive protection tasks and engagements.
• Able to organize and present orally and in writing concise information in connection with projects assigned. Most of the communications (oral and written) will be in English.
• Engage in creative thinking and general problem solving.
• Assist with scoping of engagements and management of day-to-day activities.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree
• Business fluency in English/Spanish languages (both written and spoken)
• Ability to write clearly, concisely and authoritatively to tight deadlines
• Experience with IT tools such as Microsoft Office and other programs
• Practical experience of living, working and traveling in Latin America
• Ability to identify and interpret events and developments of potential interest or concern to Control Risks’ client base
• Commercial awareness
