Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and accomplished Software Engineering Manager to lead our growing team of talented engineers. Our team works with modern cloud technologies: immutable serverless backend, code-generated APIs, infrastructure-as-code, and automated build/test pipelines. As Project Manager, you will oversee the development of software projects that streamline and optimize sales processes. This role involves facilitating agile sprints, ensuring workflows across the team keep moving, transforming high level project plans into tasks, and coordinating tasks between developers, QA, and dev-ops. The ideal candidate will possess superior leadership skills, a deep understanding of software development processes, and a strong ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike. Your work will directly contribute to Puulse Marketing's success in delivering high-quality leads and maximizing its clients' profits.
- Manage and lead a high-performing, collaborative software engineering team in an entirely remote setting. Guide career development and provide coaching and feedback to support team members.
- Plan and facilitate agile sprints, including story grooming, backlog refinement, sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Coordinate work between developers, QA, and dev-ops, ensuring smooth and efficient collaboration across teams.
- Oversee code review and merge processes, ensuring high-quality code, efficient workflow, and adherence to best practices.
- Participate in architectural and technical decisions, working closely with the team to guide the development of scalable and robust systems.
- Manage project scopes and timelines, ensuring deliverables are achieved within specified timelines and resources.
- Track and manage software engineering metrics, ensuring up-to-date reporting and communicating progress, risks, and challenges to the executive team and other stakeholders.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that encourages innovation and supports individual growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in software development and people management, preferably in a remote setting.
- Extensive knowledge of software engineering principles, agile methodologies, and dev-ops processes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information to a wide range of audiences.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, leadership skills, and a team-oriented mindset.
- Familiarity with modern development tools and environments.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a strong focus on detail and process improvement.
